WHO WE ARE

The HARP Mission

"Leading others in serving the Lord through our compassionate service in the mission field."

Who we are

The HARP Mission (HARP) is a program of Helping Appalachian Rural Peoples, Inc. an Ohio 501 (c) (3) Not For Profit. We are organized to assist needy families recover to sage and sanitary housing from homelessness, entrenched poverty, home disrupting disasters and life disrupting events. We do so by supplying them with furniture, appliances, household items, home repair materials and volunteer labor.

What we do

HARP specializes in procuring and distributing donations of furniture, appliances and household items to needy families.

HARP works with individuals and institutional donors (i.e. faith-based, social service-based and private corporations) who donate new and lightly used household items.

HARP works with accredited case management organizations (i.e. LSS/LDR, LMM, Ohio VOAD and other Ohio case management charities).  We rely on established case management partners to qualify their claimant's and to identify those client's material needs and for our partners to coordinate the pickup and delivery of those items to their clients. We do not provide materials directly to individual claimants.
